The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) formally turned over 20 electric buses to various Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) composed of persons with disabilities (PWDs) on Friday, June 27, during a ceremonial blessing held at the Amoranto Sports Complex in Quezon City.
Designed for safety, comfort, and accessibility, these eco-friendly electric buses provide PWDs with reliable and dignified transportation, opening new opportunities for employment and community engagement.
Yangtse E-Buses are custom-built to ensure a smooth ride, featuring low-floor entry, spacious interiors, and secure seating tailored for differently-abled passengers. With zero emissions and energy-efficient technology, they also support sustainable urban mobility.
This initiative reflects philippine government's commitment to inclusive growth and green transportation, empowering PWDs with greater independence. Together, we move toward a future where no one is left behind-safely, comfortably, and sustainably.
